A range of accommodation is available to suit almost every taste.

Self-contained holiday homes
Also known as park motels, we have three different sizes to accommodate up to twelve comfortably. Waterfront or waterview, fully furnished and equipped, these include kitchen and toilet and shower facilities. This is home away from home! Seasonal rates start at $109. Minimum stays may apply at peak times.

Kitchen cabins
One or two-room, waterfront or waterview, fully furnished and equipped except linen, these include kitchen facilities. Seasonal rates start at $69. Minimum stays may apply at peak times.

Cabins
Sleep four comfortably in one of our bunk rooms, handy to our communal kitchen for meal preparation and dining. Seasonal rates start at $59.

Flashpackers
Private rooms, sleeping up to four in a combination of queen beds and single bunks, with all linen and a television, and all the ingredients for that morning cup of coffee or tea.  They are an economical option, and although they have no kitchen or bathroom faciliteis are very close to the communal kitchen and bathrooms.  Seasonal rates start at $79.

Sites
On the road again, or looking for a traditional kiwi holiday? Tent, caravan or campervan? Powered or unpowered, waterfront, waterview, or bush, park or tent sites, each unique. Water and dump station available. Rates start at $38 (two people) for a powered site. Minimum stays may apply at peak times.

Moving on south and looking for a bach in the Kaipara?
Why not consider Fisher Lodge, our three-bedroom bach on the Kaipara Harbour? This historic bach is waterfront, and has three bedrooms comfortably sleeping eight to ten. Seasonal rates start at $195.

Waterview Park Kitchen
Our communal kitchen with its spectacular views over the harbour by day, and to the lights of Marsden Point in the distance by night, is equipped with fridge/freezer, gas and electric cooktops and oven.

Waterfront Barbecue House
Our barbecue house affords undercover barbecuing and casual dining, and can be booked for special events.

Ablutions and Laundry Facilities
Our newly refurbished ablutions facilities allow easy access from all areas of the park. Coin-operated washers and dryer are situated beneath the Park Kitchen, as well as sink and ironing board, and handy clothes lines.

Shop
Our seasonal shop stocks a range of convenience items such as cold drinks, milk, ice-cream, confectionery, snack foods, and tinned goods.

Boat Ramp
We have a private boat ramp for launching small craft, or a public boat ramp is adjacent to the Park.

Moorings
Private moorings available for boats up to seven metres.

Events
Celebrating a wedding, birthday, or anniversary? Maybe you are just trying to meet with your colleagues but not blow next year's budget? Consider renting the whole park.

We can arrange, accommodate and cater to a range of functions where you wish to hold your event and accommodate your guests in one destination, eliminating transportation concerns. Our experienced Event Manager has organized weddings, conferences and events for everyone from international governments to prestige hotels. She can help you plan a stunning event on a budget. Cancellation Policy
The Blue Heron is a small holiday park, and cancellations affect us greatly. Should a booking be cancelled prior to or during the period of reservation naturally we will endeavour to re-let the site or accommodation for the duration, and if able to do so then any sum paid will be refunded less an administration fee of one night's accommodation. No preference will be given to selling cancelled sites or accommodation in preference to other Blue Heron sites or accommodation. If unsuccessful for all or part of the booking the deposit paid will be forfeited as liquidated damages. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than seven days before due date of arrival. Should we receive less than seven days notice of a cancellation we will charge for every night booked. No refunds will be given for early departure, including if a guest is asked to leave because of policy infringement. All tariffs are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include 15% Goods and Services Tax. .
